Charles is a man of many, many words. As the owner and figurehead of the St. Charles Inn, Charles is looked on as a wise elder, being the former Prime Minister of Natural Resources. Most travelers adore Charles for his tales of local politics and charming quirks. And most locals seek out Charles for his fair generosity and are indebted to him for his massive satellite dish that powers most of Punta Gorda’s TV and Internet. At the very core of Charles is a tender spot for his hundreds of hundreds of outdoor plants and inside his house, apples. Charles late wife had a passionate collection of apples. Different colors and varieties of ceramic, plastic, glass apples dot the shelves and countertops of Charles home, remnants of a woman to whom he still greatly admires. ‘She loved her apples,’ said Charles.Fun Fact: Charles loves the ‘macho men’ of Hollywood but is an especially huge fan of Chuck Norris and his hat.
